The Estate of a man who tragically lost his life while operating his tractor near the roadside on his farm came to our firm seeking justice. A drunk driver struck and killed him, leading to criminal charges against the driver. However, the legal battle became more complex when the insurance company involved filed for bankruptcy. Despite this challenge, we pursued all available avenues and successfully negotiated a settlement with one of the remaining insurance companies and the State’s Guaranty Association. After litigation in Randolph County, West Virginia, the Court approved the settlement for the Estate, providing financial relief to the victim’s widow, who served as the Estate representative.
